BSE and ICS endorsed practical course designed specifically to support individuals who plan to complete the BSE’s level 1 accreditation or ICS FUSIC Heart accreditation.
The course operates a ‘flipped classroom’ model, such that all of the theory required for the course is provided in advance in the form of video lectures. This ensures that the entire course is dedicated to providing hands-on teaching with expert faculty. The course is modelled on the level 1 practical exam, with half of the course spent scanning live models, whilst half the course is devoted to image interpretation, studying real cases from the ICU and ED.
Prior scanning experience is not essential and a whole day of working in small groups allows faculty to tailor teaching to the students’ needs.
Candidates will be offered a place based on their suitability.
